  • What are my watering restrictions

  • How much will it cost to install an irrigation system in my yard?
    The cost to have an irrigation system depends on a number of factors such as type and size of landscaping, number of zones needed, and which products are required. Active Turf Irrigation will always offer free estimates for sprinkler system installs. If you're interested in one, get in touch with us. You can also check out our services in more detail here.
  • How do I turn my controller on or off?
    Most controllers have a dial with an "On/Off" or a "Run" position. Some controllers will have a switch instead of a dial. Usually it's fairly straightforward in just turning the dial or switch to the desired function. Turning the dial or switch will also not change any of the scheduled programming thats been saved.
  • Do I have to get my irrigation system winterized every year?
    Yes. Winterizing your irrigation system involves, first, closing the main water valve for your sprinkler system and, second, using a commercial sized air compressor to blow air through all of the irrigation pipes. This clears out all of the water sitting in the pipes. If the system is not winterized and temperature drops to freezing, you are very likely to have irrigation pipes burst. This can lead to thousands of dollars in repairs to get the irrigation system back to functioning.
  • How do I program my controller?
    There are many different controllers all with different programming instructions. Most controllers come with a one page "Quick Setup" instruction card. Following these instructions is usually fairly straightforward.
